News about an adaptation of a chapter of Hussain Zaidi’s Mafia Queens book came in Mumbai for the first time in June 2017, with Priyanka Chopra joining the star as the main character.

The film’s previous title was Hira Mandy. In March 2019, Chopra confirmed that he was working on a project with Bhansali, who also confirmed that he was making Gangubai Kathiawadi full movie download with Chopra.
